Hamble RAGE ups the ante and focusses on fundraising for vital independent
research in the continued fight to save the beauty of our village. Hands off
Hamble, Hampshire County Council!
April has been another busy month for the Hamble RAGE team as we up the ante
in the fight against Hampshire County Council¹s (HCC) plans for mineral
extraction on the Hamble Peninsula.
Our focus has been on commisioning an independent report that will not only
critique HCC¹s original selection criteria and process that led to two
preferred sites being proposed here, but also objectively compares these
sites to the alternatives suggested, with a systematic approach, in a bid to
prove once and for all that there are far better sites elsewhere.
However, the commisioning of professional planning consultants costs money
(£12,000) so we have to engage local businesses and residents to help
support our cause. We have had some promising results so far, however, the
clock is ticking and we have a long way to go to meet our total so now we
are appealing to any benefactors who can help the cause by donating support
funds no matter how small.
We also have some other initiatives that we are considering to raise money
and could do with some help organising them. So if you have spare time on
your hands, are passionate about the area, are well organised and would like
to get involved please do get in touch. Hamble RAGE needs you!
So please if you can help us in whatever way we¹d be pleased to hear from
you on 0845 310 5330 or email info@hamblerage.co.uk. For further information
on the campaign please check our new (hopefully easier to use) website at

Many thanks
